Experienced, friendly, university graduate, and native speaker of Punjabi will teach you this popular, rich language in a very efficient manner. You will learn a lot of Punjabi in a short time. I have 12 years Punjabi teaching experience. 

  I offer a fast, efficient way for English speakers to learn Punjabi. Instructions are given in English.

   I have taught Punjabi to Canadian professionals who expressed their complete satisfaction with my lesson-plans. They were happy with the confidence they gained in using Punjabi in their day-to-day affairs.

I have taught Punjabi to adults at UBC for 3 semesters.

Punjabi is the 2nd most-spoken language in BC and the 5th most-spoken in Canada.

It means greater marketability of English/Punjabi bilinguals in the job market in B.C., and in Canada.

PUNJABI CLASSES for English-Speaking adults-ONLINE

Conversational Punjabi 1 (3 weeks, $200)

Learning Objectives: Knowledge of Punjabi alphabet, sounds of letters, and vowels, formation of words and sentences. Ability to read and write simple text

Communicative Objectives: Ability to greet others, and introduce self, ask simple questions in simple Punjabi

Conversational Punjabi 2 (3 weeks, $200)

Objectives: Ability to understand, and converse in Simple, and Continuous Present tenses, introduction to genders and numbers, use of to be, and to have verbs.  

Conversational Punjabi 3 (3 weeks, $200)

Conversational practice in all 6 lessons. Learn to use Past and Future tenses. New words and points of grammar to be explained according to progress of learning

Conversational Punjabi 4 (3 weeks, $200)

Conversational practice in all 6 lessons. Learn to use all 3 tenses. New words and points of grammar to be explained according to progress of learning. Use of adjectives, pronouns, nouns will be explained. Conversation will involve various topics

Objective of 48- hour program: The ability to speak, read, write, and understand simple Punjabi.

Methodology to be used: Grammar-Translation method of language teaching will be used. Difference in the language use in English and Punjabi will be explained. Model sentences involving various points of grammar will be used in conversation. Extensive use of Internet and other resources will be made.

This method will enable students to continue learning by themselves by using Internet, books, and other resources.

Class Timings: Tuesdays, and Thursdays 5 PM- 7 PM PDT (Vancouver time)

Each course: 6 sessions (12 hours)

In British Columbia, it is better to be Punjabi/English bilingual than French/English bilingual.
